Our take

Fruity to the point of excess at first, Dahlia Divin opens on mirabelle, citrus and pink pepper before a genuinely enormous floral heart takes over: jasmine sambac, peach, orange blossom, rose, black currant, apple and lily-of-the-valley, seven different notes all arriving at once. None of them gets much individual space, and the overall effect sits somewhere between a flower stall and a fruit stand at full stock.

Patchouli and vetiver keep the sweetness grounded, and sandalwood, vanilla and white musk finish the base soft and a little powdery, cedar adding one last dry note before the wear settles. The patchouli is doing a lot of quiet work here, giving the fruit-and-flower pile-up a bitter, earthy floor to land on by the drydown.

Wear time keeps a moderate pace throughout, easy to refresh without it feeling urgent. What it gives off is a small, personal bubble, fruity and floral, that circles the wearer rather than spreading outward. Fall is clearly its best season, though the fruit and pink pepper keep the whole thing light enough to wear into early winter too.
