Our take

Dates, dried fruits and fig sit at the center of Arabie, thick and a little sticky, surrounded by cloves, nutmeg and caraway until the whole thing smells like a spice drawer someone forgot to close. Bay leaf adds a green, herbal snap that cuts through the density, while myrrh and Siam benzoin bring a resinous, dark quality underneath, with mandarin orange offering a brief citrus lift before sandalwood, tonka bean and cedar settle the whole thing into something warmer and rounder.

Staying power here is considerable, holding firmly on the skin and refusing to fade quickly once it settles. Sillage forms a noticeable, spiced cloud, picked up easily by anyone nearby without needing to lean in.

Fall and winter are Arabie's real home, the dried fruit and resin combination reading as thick, warm comfort once the weather turns, while summer offers only a faint echo of the same character.

Arabie openly asks for confidence, dense and a little sweet in a way that some will find intoxicating and others overwhelming, closer to a spice market stall than a delicate floral.
