This opens with a flash of rum soaked rose, a boozy sweetness that feels like a velvet armchair in a dimly lit speakeasy. Sicilian mandarin adds a bright citrus flicker before the heart takes over with creamy orchid and a slightly green, honeyed narcissus. The dry down is all vanilla, amber, and tonka bean, sandalwood softening the edges into a powdery, warm vanilla cloud. It is unmistakably mainstream, lush and synthetic in a deliberate, polished way, leaning heavy and sweet rather than fresh.
The longevity and sillage are solidly moderate, three and a quarter each out of five, which means you get a few hours of comfortable presence before it settles into a skin scent. Not a performer for all night clubbing, but perfect for a long dinner or an evening indoors. Who should wear this? Someone who likes their florals drenched in vanilla and a hint of booze, who wants to feel draped rather than announced.
