Our take

Pineapple and coconut open Le Beau Le Parfum bright and tropical, closer to a beach cocktail than a typical men's fragrance. Iris and ginger add spice so it never feels like a novelty item, and coconut sticks around the longest of the opening notes, creamy without turning into sunscreen.

Tonka bean and sandalwood take over in the base, warm and slightly sweet, backed by amber and ambergris for extra weight. The fragrance digs in and holds its ground once it settles, staying near the skin without drifting into the room, easy to pick up close but never loud. Summer dominates the season pull heavily, though the day and night scores sit close together, meaning this works about as well after dark as it does in daylight.

Quentin Bisch clearly built this around the coconut and tonka pairing, letting everything else support that combination rather than compete with it. It smells more like an actual dessert cocktail than most gourmand men's fragrances manage, sweet without turning cloying, and confident enough to wear somewhere people will actually ask what it is.

It stays tropical and genuinely different from the standard woody-aromatic playbook throughout, coconut and tonka doing most of the talking as the fragrance moves from its bright opening into the warmer tonka base.
