Our take

Mint hits first, sharp and cold against the lavender underneath it, before cardamom and bergamot round the edges and artemisia adds a bitter green note to the mix. It is a loud opening, closer to shaving cream than to a garden, and the sharper edges take a while to settle down.

Cinnamon and orange blossom take over in the heart, and the fragrance turns warmer without losing the lavender thread running through it, while caraway adds a faint bready spice underneath the florals. By the base, vanilla, tonka bean, and sandalwood settle into a sweet, powdery amber. The sillage forms a modest bubble, present but not overwhelming, and once it reaches the base the fragrance turns long-lasting.

Vanilla and amber carry real sweetness, balanced by a green, aromatic thread of lavender running underneath, and cardamom keeps resurfacing every so often to remind you it was there from the start. It works across most of the year, from a cool spring morning to a winter night out, with cinnamon keeping the spice sharp enough to matter. Cedar closes things out with a plain, dry finish, grounding all that sweetness in something more solid.
