Our take

You want a minty splash, a crisp green shave in a bottle, but Kenzo Homme Eau de Parfum isn’t that clean. It opens with a bright zing of mint and cardamom over citrus, all sharp and almost synthetic in its sparkle, like the first cold wave hitting a rocky shore. Then the sea notes roll in, and the whole thing turns into a wet, salty breeze tangled with sage and a pinch of warm spice. That marine accord hovers for a while, surprisingly transparent and a little synthetic, before the base settles into a polite woody vanilla with vetiver and cedar sanding off the sweetness.

The overall character is a seaside cologne that forgot its towel and borrowed a cashmere sweater. It feels fresh but not aquatic in a cheap way, more like a damp wooden dock after a sun shower. That said, the longevity and sillage scores are honest: it sits close to the skin and fades within a few hours, so don’t expect projection. Perfect for spring and summer days, especially casual office wear or a weekend brunch. It suits someone who wants to smell clean and slightly interesting without shouting, but skip it if you crave beast mode performance or a deep, resinous woody scent. Is it groundbreaking? No, but it’s a well-made aquatic that knows its place: a light, friendly shadow on a warm afternoon.
