Caritas
Fragrance notes
Character
Cardamom and lemon brighten the first moments, joined by a quick flash of red fruits that keeps the entrance from feeling too heavy. Labdanum adds a resinous weight early on, hinting at the deeper materials waiting underneath. The opening moves fast and does not linger, giving way to the heart before you have time to settle into it.
Saffron and leather take over with a warm, slightly rough texture, while cloves and cinnamon push the spice forward. Rose and ylang-ylang soften the edges, and a trace of milk gives the floral heart a gentle, almost creamy roundness. Lily-of-the-valley lifts the blend just enough to keep the spices from sitting too flat.
The base is where Caritas lives. Amber and benzoin create a golden, resinous foundation that feels steady and present through changing conditions. Sandalwood and tonka bean add a smooth, slightly sweet woodiness, while vanilla deepens the warmth without turning powdery. Oud and patchouli bring a dark, earthy contrast that grounds the sweeter notes, and moss adds a quiet green shadow beneath it all.
Musk ties the final stage together so the scent stays near the skin rather than reaching outward, letting the amber and wood speak clearly in a dim room when the air turns cool. The vanilla and tonka bean keep the resin from drying out, so the finish remains
