Our take

Cherry Punk opens with a startlingly synthetic cherry, like the red syrup from a jar of maraschinos, but the Sichuan pepper immediately cuts through with a fizzy, almost electric heat. The saffron adds a leathery, metallic sheen before any real animalics arrive, so the transition feels deliberate rather than jarring. As it settles, the violet and mimosa soften the edges with a cosmetic powder, but the jasmine keeps the floral part from going too demure. The base is where this scent earns its name: a sticky, dark patchouli and tonka bean blend that clings to a sharp leather accord, like the inside of a well-worn biker jacket that someone spilled a cherry soda on.

The overall character is a single vivid image: a punk girl in a vintage shop, her leather collar frayed, a lollipop stick poking out of her mouth as she rifles through vinyl records. It feels synthetic in the best way, not trying to be natural, leaning into its candy and gasoline vibe. It is decidedly niche in its refusal to please everyone. The longevity is a glaring weakness, barely three hours before it whispers, and sillage sits close to the skin from the start. If you want a room-filling statement, this is not it. But for a quiet rebellion, a personal scent that only you and close company will catch, it works perfectly.

Wear this on a cool autumn evening, leather jacket optional, when you want to smell like you just got off a motorcycle and stole a cherry from a cocktail. Skip it if you need projection or lasting power, or if the thought of cherry and leather makes you think of a cheap air freshener. This is for the person who likes their sweetness with a black eye.
