Myrhh sneaks in underneath, smudging the white florals with a touch of incense. The dry down is where the real surprise lies: sandalwood and tonka bean soften the edges, but French labdanum and leather pull it back into a warm, slightly dirty fougere, with patchouli anchoring everything in earthy darkness. It’s like stumbling into a sunbaked citrus grove that opens onto a leather workshop hidden in the shade, the two worlds colliding on your skin.
The character is undeniably Mediterranean and pleasant, but it wears its flaws on its sleeve. The synthetic transparency is noticeable; this is not a dense oriental but a sheer, almost cologne-like interpretation.
