Our take

Fahrenheit was a gasoline-soaked leather jacket left in a hot car. Aqua Fahrenheit is what happens when you crank the windows down and let a spring thunderstorm rinse the whole thing clean. It opens with a sharp burst of grapefruit and mandarin, bright and almost candied, but that citrus fades fast into a green, aromatic heart that feels like crushed basil and mint leaves rubbed between your fingers. The violet is there, too, not powdery or retro, but a cool, slightly plastic floral that keeps things from tipping into full-on freshie territory. Then the base arrives: a soft, clean leather and a whisper of vetiver, nothing aggressive. The longevity and projection are modest, around three hours of noticeable presence before it becomes a skin scent, so you are not getting the monster performance of the original. That is fine. This is not a fragrance for a night out. It is for a lazy Sunday afternoon in late spring, when the sun is warm but the breeze still carries a bite. A single spritz on a linen shirt, that is the move. It feels modern and effortless, somewhere between a niche citrus and a designer aquatic, but with enough oddity from the violet and basil to avoid smelling like every other bottle on the shelf. Skip it if you demand beast mode or crave the original’s petrol intensity. For everyone else, this is the rare reformulation that makes sense on its own terms, a fleeting green cloud that disappears before you get tired of it.
