Our take

Fahrenheit Le Parfum drenches a leather-and-violet idea in bourbon vanilla until the whole thing turns dark and warm, closer to spiced rum poured over suede than a classic fougere. Sicilian mandarin and licorice open with a bittersweet snap, violet leaf and rum move into a boozy, slightly medicinal heart, and cumin adds a warm, skin-like spice beneath the vanilla's sweetness. The single base note, bourbon vanilla, does a lot of work, coating everything in a thick, dark warmth as it settles, and that single note carries far more weight than its short billing in the notes list would suggest.

Staying power is strong, the composition in no hurry to fade, and what leaves the skin is generous too, the kind of presence that gets noticed before anyone is close enough to shake your hand. It belongs to fall and winter almost exclusively and leans toward being a night fragrance more than a daytime one, so anyone hoping to wear it to a summer lunch will find it far too heavy for warm air. For cooler months and evening plans, the combination of rum, leather, and vanilla feels rich and fully formed, dark in a way that suits a cold winter night and little else.
