Our take

Orchidee opens with a bright, almost dewy slap of hyacinth, all green stems and cool petals, before the hibiscus adds a tart, pink-tinted buzz that quickly buckles under a wave of vanilla. The spices here are kept on a short leash, just a whisper of warmth in the drydown, never enough to swing the scent into anything heavy or oriental. This is a fragrance that lives entirely in its first hour; after that, the vanilla flattens into a sweet, slightly powdery skin scent that clings close and fades fast. The longevity barely grazes three out of five, and the sillage hovers around two and a half, making it a fleeting presence even in spring’s mild air.

The overall character is a forgotten corsage pinned to a sundress on a humid afternoon, pretty and delicate but wilting by the time the sun shifts. It feels natural in a mainstream, drugstore way, never synthetic but never luxurious either, like a polite greenhouse in a department store. This is for someone who wants a soft, inoffensive floral that won’t announce itself, a daytime companion for brunch, a walk in the park, or a casual office where heavier scents would draw stares. Skip it if you crave presence, depth, or any kind of sillage that lasts past lunch. It works best in spring and summer, purely as a daytime affair, and it asks for nothing more than a quick spritz and a willingness to let it evaporate.
