Our take

You peel into Mangue - Passion and get hit with a ripe, sun warmed mango that might just be dripping off your chin, but there is a twist: a sharp, almost green terpenic bite that keeps the whole thing from turning into syrup. The passionfruit swoops in fast, sour and seedy, and together they make a sticky sweet cocktail that feels like a popsicle melting on a hot sidewalk. It opens bright and candied, then quickly flattens into a faint, powdery whisper of tropical fruit salad. The longevity is a cruel joke at under two hours, and the sillage barely reaches your own nose after thirty minutes. This is a splash and dash scent, a fleeting pleasure that evaporates before you can get a compliment. For a cheap summer pick it smells fun and genuinely fruity, but the synthetic edges are visible under the sunlight. It belongs at the beach with a book, at a picnic where nobody will miss it when it fades, or layered with a coconut body oil to give it some weight. Skip it if you want a fragrance to last through dinner or if you prefer your fruits earthy and complicated. There is no depth here, just a cheerful, ephemeral burst of juice. Who is it for exactly? The person who wants to smell like a piña colada wrapper for an hour and then vanish without a trace.
