Obsessive Mystery
Fragrance notes
Character
The courtyard is quiet, the air cool enough that breath fogs near the lips. A single pinch of nutmeg opens the door, bright and brief, before artemisia moves in with its bitter, herbal green. The plant note feels lean and dry, a clean line drawn through the heavier material waiting beneath it.
Labdanum and tobacco take their time. The resin is thick and golden, sticking to the skin while the leaf brings a deep, cured warmth that feels aged rather than fresh. Patchouli grounds the pair with an earthy weight, its soil-like character keeping the sweetness from floating away. The amber and balsamic accords wrap around these three, creating a dense, musky blanket that sits close to the body. It stays present for a long while, the scent clinging to the collar and the cuffs without reaching past the person wearing it.
The whole scene smells like a stone bench in a walled garden, the surface still holding the day's heat while the air around it turns cold.
