Our take

Mint and candy apple open Eros Eau de Parfum sweet and cold at the same time, an odd, almost synthetic-smelling combination that lemon and mandarin orange brighten further. Geranium and clary sage sit quietly in the heart, doing more structural work than scent work, holding the citrus and Ambroxan together without adding much of their own character. Ambroxan takes over early, smoothing the sharper edges into something rounder. The sillage settles into a modest, well-mannered cloud, and it stays put on skin far longer than the bright opening suggests.

Vanilla and patchouli push the middle stretch toward something sweet and gourmand, while cedar and sandalwood give it a woody structure underneath. Vanilla in particular pushes hardest here, sweet enough that the composition edges close to a straightforward gourmand before the woods pull it back toward something drier.

Leather and bitter orange show up right at the end, adding a small bitter contrast to all that vanilla. Bitter orange at the very end pulls the sweetness back one more time, keeping the last impression a little sharper than the vanilla alone would leave it.

It leans into a synthetic, modern kind of sweetness, closer to a candy shop than an old-school woody fougère, and it suits most seasons without asking much of the wearer.
