Mint cuts through Luna Rossa almost immediately, cold and sharp against a lavender base trying to soften it. Bitter orange adds a rind-like snap at the very start and then steps aside, leaving a fragrance that smells like a barbershop with its windows just opened. Clary sage sits under the mint, dry and herbal, keeping the top accord green and slightly bitter rather than sweet.
Ambroxan takes over once the mint settles, a synthetic amber note that behaves less like a distinct ingredient and more like an extension of clean skin. It gives Luna Rossa its shape for the long stretch of the wear, carrying the composition after the citrus and mint have burned off. Prada built this for daytime, and it cooperates: an office, a lunch meeting, spring air through an open window all suit it.
Staying power lands in the average range, present without insisting on attention. Projection never travels far from the body, picked up by whoever stands near enough to talk.
