L'Homme Idéal Extrême
Fragrance notes
Character
Cold evenings suit it far better than daytime does. Almond and pink pepper open sweet and a little sharp at once, plum and cinnamon push the sweetness further, and heliotrope adds a powdery, almost cosmetic softness on top. None of it smells like dessert exactly, more like a spiced nut roasted a shade too long, its edges gone a little dark.
Underneath, tobacco and leather take over, backed by patchouli and cedar, and the shift from sweet almond to dry leather is the best part of the composition, handled slowly enough that neither side ever feels like it is fighting the other. Wear time runs long, sticking around well past when a lighter fragrance would have faded, and projection stays modest, a warm bubble that reaches whoever's sitting close by, not the whole table.
L'Homme Idéal Extrême works best layered under a coat, with autumn and winter as its natural months; summer heat would only push the sweetness toward cloying. The almond keeps resurfacing under the tobacco long after the opening has faded, a small reminder of where the whole thing started, and that late return is what keeps the composition interesting instead of simply heavy.
