Semi-Bespoke No. 6 is a fragrance built for the person who wants to be wrapped in a heavy, golden shroud when the air turns cold and the sky goes black. The opening arrives with a bright, medicinal citrus blend of bergamot, lemon, neroli, and orange, but the chamomile here is not a soothing tea note. It is sharp and herbal, cutting through the initial sweetness before the composition immediately dives into its true depth. Jasmine and rose sit atop a heart of sandalwood and patchouli, yet they are quickly swallowed by the overwhelming base. This is an amber and balsamic powerhouse where tonka bean, vanilla, and benzoin meet the resinous weight of opoponax, Peru balsam, styrax, labdanum, and frankincense. The inclusion of civet and beeswax adds a dirty, animalic warmth that rubs against the powdery iris and musky foundation.
