Amber Incense
Fragrance notes
Character
Amber Incense opens with a bright, peppery lift. Bergamot provides a clean citrus spark that immediately meets the herbal edge of oregano and the clove-like heat of pimento. This introduction feels sharp and aromatic rather than sweet, setting a tone that is dry and resinous from the first moment. The spices do not overwhelm the citrus, but they steer the fragrance away from a standard fresh opening and point it toward something more rugged and earthy.
The heart settles into a dense, golden warmth. Amber and labdanum create a sticky, resinous core that is deepened by the smoky, church-like quality of frankincense and the rich, slightly bitter sweetness of opoponax. This phase is heavy on balsamic fumes, wrapping the wearer in a thick, aromatic cloud. It feels suited to a quiet street at night when the air is cool, or a dim room where the atmosphere is calm and the light is low.
The foundation brings in dark, textured woods and sturdy materials. Leather and oud add a rugged, slightly animalic dryness, while patchouli contributes an earthy weight and sandalwood smooths the edges with a creamy, pale wood presence. The combination results in a scent that is intensely amber, woody, and warm spicy. The leather accord remains prominent throughout the final stage, leaving a lasting impression of frankincense.
