A covered porch in the cool air holds a small gathering under a single warm bulb. Someone nearby is wearing Amyi III. The first impression is bright and quick, a sharp mandarin orange flickering over cloves and cedar that feels like stepping outside into the night. It is a brief welcome before the fragrance settles into its true character.

The drydown takes over with a heavy, resinous weight. Atlas cedar and frankincense create a thick, amber cloud that feels almost ecclesiastical, while vetiver adds a dry, rooty edge beneath the soft lilac and heliotrope. Tonka bean brings a powdery vanilla sweetness that tries to soften the smoke, but the composition leans heavily into its woody, aromatic density. It smells like polished wood and ancient stone, a scent that demands stillness and occupies the entire space around the wearer with its warm spicy presence.

The lilac and heliotrope attempt to lift the heavy base, yet they cannot fully escape the dense foundation. The fragrance becomes a bit too powdery and sweet for its own good, as the vanilla accord clashes slightly with the dry vetiver.
