Before The Sunrise
Fragrance notes
Before The Sunrise opens with a thick, layered rose. Bulgarian and Turkish varieties sit side by side, each lending a slightly different shade of red to the first impression. The Taif rose in the heart adds a cooler, more dew-laden facet. Pink pepper provides a brief, sparkling interruption that keeps the florals from lying completely flat.
The base is where the composition spends most of its time. Kyara wood and oud create a dense, resinous foundation that feels heavy against the skin. Labdanum and amber add a golden, slightly powdery warmth. Cedar and vetiver introduce a drier, more upright texture beneath the stickier resins.
Oakmoss and incense pull the entire mixture toward the earth. The mossy accord is prominent, giving the perfume a damp, forest-floor quality that grounds the high-pitched roses. Smoky tendrils from the incense weave through the woody notes, creating a scent that feels ancient and aromatic rather than fresh.
The sheer density of the blend is its drawback. With so many heavy materials competing for space, the individual character of the roses gets buried under the weight of the resins and woods. It is a difficult wear for anyone who prefers a fragrance where the floral notes remain clear and distinct.
