Our take

Coffee, bay leaf, tobacco, oud, hay, bergamot, sandalwood, oakmoss and jasmine sit together in a dense, aromatic mix. The coffee here feels dry and roasted rather than milky or sweet. Bay leaf and tobacco bring a fresh spicy and warm spicy lift that keeps the darker woods from feeling flat. Oud and sandalwood add weight and a woody depth, while oakmoss pulls the blend toward a green, earthy edge. Hay gives a dry, straw-like texture that sets Cuadra apart from cleaner, more polished compositions. Jasmine appears as a soft floral thread rather than a loud bloom. The overall impression is aromatic, camphor-touched and slightly sweet, with plenty of contrast between the green notes and the heavier resins.

A walk through a damp forest path at the start of a gray afternoon fits this scent. The air is cool, the trees are thick, and dry leaves crunch underfoot while a cup of black coffee steams in your hand. There is a barn nearby where hay and tobacco are stored, and the smell drifts over as sunlight breaks through the clouds. The wood under the bark is old and resinous, and a small white flower grows low near the roots. You are wrapped in a heavy coat, moving at an easy pace, breathing in the mix of roasted beans, damp earth, crushed leaves and dark timber.
