Character
Cinnamon and incense open the fragrance with a dry, resinous heat. The spice feels textured rather than sharp. Cherry enters next, dark and slightly boozy, supported by a strong whiskey note that smells like a glass left out on a wooden table. Vetiver adds a green, earthy edge to the heart.
The base leans heavily into tobacco and cedar. Vanilla smooths the edges without making the blend sugary. Ambrette contributes a soft, mushy warmth that sits close to the skin. The overall impression is a dimly lit lounge where smoke hangs in the air and the drink in hand is aged and amber-colored.
The amber accord feels synthetic and a bit flat against the natural roughness of the cedar. It lacks the depth found in more expensive tobacco compositions. The whiskey note can also become repetitive after a while. This is a straightforward evening scent for someone who enjoys heavy spice, but it does not offer much complexity once the initial novelty wears off.
