Walking into a room wearing Essences 12 feels like stepping out of the cold air and into a space warmed by dark wood and thick carpet. The opening brings bergamot and red fruits, bright at first, then quickly joined by a shake of pepper that keeps the fruit from leaning too juvenile. It moves fast into a heart of patchouli and praline, where the earthiness of the leaf meets a heavy, candy-like sweetness that defines the rest of the wear.
Vanilla rounds out the center, smooth and dense, while cedar and white musk anchor the base with a dry, woody finish. The texture is rich and slightly sticky, more suited to a quiet evening than a breezy afternoon. It carries a balsamic warmth that feels intentional, though the synthetic edge in the praline note sometimes pushes the blend toward something that smells manufactured rather than crafted.
