Our take

Gelsomino by Galimard opens with bright bergamot and orange that feel sunlit and brisk. The citrus is clean and immediate, giving the fragrance a clear start before the flowers take over. Jasmine and tuberose form the heart, and both are present in full strength. The jasmine carries a fresh, slightly green petal tone, while the tuberose is creamy and heavy, pushing the scent into a dense white floral space. There is no attempt to soften the intensity of the blooms. The accord is loud, heady, and very direct, leaning fully into the white floral family without restraint.

Musk and vanilla settle in the base and add a powdery, musky warmth that wraps around the flowers. The vanilla is sweet but not edible, sitting close to the skin and blending into the musk. The animalic accord adds a slight weight that keeps the flowers from smelling entirely clean. The composition is straightforward and does not shift into unexpected directions. The limitation here is the lack of contrast. The scent stays in one clear lane from start to finish, and the heavy floral density can feel repetitive without a drier or sharper element to break the smoothness.
