Our take

Rush opens loud and fruity, peach paired with Californian gardenia and African freesia petals in a combination that smells more like a florist's cooler than a garden. Coriander adds a dry, slightly peppery edge to the heart alongside damask rose and jasmine, cutting some of the sweetness before patchouli, natural vanilla and vetiver ground the whole thing in the base. The transition from that opening burst of fruit and white flowers to the earthy, vetiver-heavy drydown is dramatic enough to feel almost like two different fragrances worn back to back.

The drydown is where Rush earns its character: earthy, warm and a little rough around the edges, a real contrast to the polished floral opening. Longevity runs long here, and the sillage has real reach, noticed by people well before you say a word to them. The natural vanilla adds a rounding warmth that softens the patchouli's bitterness.

This suits anyone who wants a nineties-style statement floral with teeth, worn to a party or a night where a fragrance is allowed to be part of the outfit. Softer floral fans should approach with caution, since the patchouli and vetiver base has real weight behind it.
