Grapefruit and Sicilian lemon give Himalaya its opening snap, tart and cold, backed by Calabrian bergamot for a rounder citrus edge that fills out the top note nicely. The heart is almost minimal: sandalwood alone, given room to be creamy and soft, with nothing else crowding it, so the wood itself carries the whole middle stage of the wear. Musk and ambergris move in underneath fairly quickly, animalic and warm, with cedar adding a dry, woody spine below the sandalwood.
It leans almost entirely toward daylight wear, and the season spread backs that up, strong through spring and summer, still solid into fall, tapering only once real winter cold sets in. Staying power settles into a steady middle course, doing unremarkable work without ever announcing itself outright. The trail is a modest bubble, noticeable to anyone standing near enough for a hello, carrying mostly the creamy sandalwood by that point, the citrus having faded well into the background.
Himalaya stays clean and citrus-forward throughout, sandalwood doing the heavy lifting without a dense oriental base weighing it down. It suits daytime wear, an office desk or a spring afternoon, and it never strays far from the bright, woody character it opens with.
