Ivars Rose opens with plum and dried fruits that give a rounded, sweet start. The fruit feels dense rather than bright, leaning into the heart where black tea and Bulgarian rose sit beside poppy and cedar. The tea adds a dry, slightly brisk edge to the rose, while cedar keeps the floral side from becoming too soft. Poppy brings a faint, dusty petal quality that blends into the wood rather than standing out on its own.
The base gathers cognac, oakmoss, birch tar, musk, cannabis and patchouli into a dark, mossy foundation. Cognac adds a warm, slightly boozy richness that pairs with the earthy patchouli and the sharp, smoky touch of birch tar. Oakmoss pulls the blend toward a classic chypre feel, while musk smooths the edges and cannabis deepens the green, resinous character. The result is woody, floral and sweet with clear green and spicy threads running through it.
