Mahjoun
Fragrance notes
Character
Mahjoun opens with almond and lavender sitting beside cardamom, Amalfi lemon, and orange. The citrus brings a bright lift that keeps the almond from feeling heavy at first. Lavender adds a soft herbal edge that blends into the spice instead of standing apart. Cardamom warms the top slowly while the lemon and orange fade into the background.
The heart gathers white honey, dates, hazelnut, fig, nutmeg, rose, and African orange flower. Honey and dates create a thick, golden sweetness that dominates the middle. Fig and hazelnut support that sweetness with a rounded, nutty depth. Rose and the orange flower add gentle floral touches that never become bright or fresh.
Cinnamon, amber, sandalwood, myrrh, cloves, frankincense, and Virginia cedar form a dry, resinous base. The spices linger close to the skin while sandalwood and cedar give a smooth wood foundation. Amber and myrrh add a calm resinous weight that stays steady through the later hours. The honey and dates from the heart continue to soften the drier base notes.
The scent suits a quiet indoor evening when the air feels cool and the light is low. Sweet, warm spicy, fruity, honey, nutty, woody, amber, fresh spicy, almond, and floral accords all appear clearly. It stays present without reaching outward, moving through its notes at a calm pace that lets each one settle before the next shifts. The resins keep a faint grip on the skin as the spices slowly soften
