Mimosa
Fragrance notes
Character
Hawthorn and mimosa absolute open with a yellow floral burst that feels bright and slightly pollen-heavy. Violet leaf adds a cool, green snap that keeps the flowers from feeling flat. The early spray carries an ozonic, aquatic freshness that suggests open air and damp pavement after light rain.
White flowers enter and soften the green edges with a gentle, aldehydic lift. Patchouli brings an earthy depth that grounds the petals without turning dark. Tonka bean introduces a sweet, powdery warmth that blends smoothly into the floral heart.
Musk and sandalwood create a creamy, woody base that supports the vanilla nicely. The vanilla here is soft and slightly candied rather than rich or heavy. The overall texture stays powdery and smooth from the first spray to the final drydown.
The composition is composed by Robertet for Reminiscence and launched in 2023. The aldehydic touch can feel a bit sharp and synthetic on skin, which may bother those who prefer entirely natural-smelling florals.
