Moonlight opens sweet right away, plum and black currant syrupy without much sourness to balance them, before marshmallow and peony soften everything into a pale, powdery cloud. The plum reads more like a soft, ripe fruit purée than anything tart, with the black currant adding just a hint of sharpness at the very start. The peony sits alongside the marshmallow, giving the sweetness a papery, floral edge rather than a purely sugary one. It is a light wear across the board: the staying power sits on the lower edge of average, and the trail barely extends past the skin itself, closer to a personal scent than something meant to be noticed by others.
Vanilla, sandalwood and amber round out the base, warm and a little powdery, though the whole composition stays fairly linear from open to close, without much development to track between the first spray and the last trace. The black currant from the opening never fully disappears either, leaving a faint, tart thread running under the vanilla the whole way through. It wears equally well across the seasons and at any hour, an easy, low-commitment scent built for comfort more than complexity.
