The window is open and the morning air is cool enough to make the sleeves of a sweater feel right. Sunlight falls across a wooden table where a bowl of apples sits next to a handful of fresh mint leaves. Riggs Native lives in this room. The opening is a crisp blend of lavender and juniper berries that smells like the garden outside, with the apple adding a clean, pale sweetness to the air.
Cardamom and cinnamon arrive through the middle of the room, warm and dry. They do not turn heavy. Geranium keeps the spices upright and green, so the air feels structured rather than baked. The cinnamon is a dusting rather than a syrup, resting on the aromatic lavender that still lingers from the first pour.
Cedar and amber settle into the floorboards. Labdanum adds a resinous weight that grounds the bright top notes without pulling the scene into darkness. The woody accord is dry and close, mixing with the remaining mint to keep the amber from feeling too soft. It is a space filled with warm spice and clear green edges.
