Our take

Nuit Andalouse opens with a sharp citrus peel cracked over crushed violet leaves, a green and tangy burst that feels almost electric. But within minutes the gardenia and orange blossom swell in, creamy and dense, wrapping the composition in a white floral haze so thick you could cut it with a knife. The rose and ylang-ylang add a slightly honeyed sweetness, but the real story lives in the base where vanilla and sandalwood meet an almost synthetic lactonic smoothness. Amyl salicylate gives it a powdery, sunscreen-like glow that keeps things soft around the edges. The overall character is like a night blooming jasmine vine left to climb over a warm stucco wall in Seville: lush, slightly narcotic, but never fully dark. It’s undeniably sweet and floral, leaning toward the mainstream side of niche with a polished, airy feel that lacks the heft of true boldness. Given the longevity and sillage sit just above average, this is more of a close skin scent than a room filler. Best for spring days or balmy summer evenings, where the florals can breathe without feeling cloying. If you love heavy tuberose or indolic white flowers, this may feel too polite. But for someone who wants a romantic, easy going floral with a touch of powder and warm vanilla, Nuit Andalouse delivers a pleasant, if not unforgettable, night.
