Our take

It opens with a saccharine punch: blood orange and candy apple glazed over a shimmer of saffron, like a caramel apple rolling through a spice market. The heart turns tropical and heady with passion flower and frangipani, a sweet white floral riot that feels more synthetic than natural, but that is exactly the point. This is not a subtle fragrance. The base of vanilla, patchouli, ebony wood, and leather tries to ground the sweetness, but the leather is thin, more like a new vinyl purse than a well-worn jacket. The overall character is a cheap rhinestone studded wristband you found at a mall kiosk glaring hopefully under fluorescent lights.

With a longevity around 2.88 and sillage barely over 2.77, you are buying a fleeting, intimate cloud. It works best in fall and winter when the warmth of the vanilla and spice can bloom, but it also surprises in spring with its candy apple brightness. This is for the woman who wants a playful, girly oriental without taking herself too seriously. Skip it if you demand projection or a complex dry down. Wear it to a casual brunch or an afternoon coffee run, not a black tie affair. It is a cheap thrill, and it knows it.
