Route d'Iris begins with a sharp green edge that can feel thin and almost metallic when first applied. The violet leaf snaps against the skin, and the mimosa adds a pollen-heavy brightness that borders on scratchy before the composition settles into its true shape. This is not a smooth, seamless entrance. You are standing in a sunlit conservatory where the glass panes magnify the morning light. The air is filled with cut stems and damp soil. Neroli floats above a dense bed of white petals, where tuberose pushes forward with a creamy weight that feels substantial in the warm air. Iris and orris root bring a cool, powdered earthiness that grounds the floral display, preventing the blossoms from floating away. Narcissus adds a slightly indolic, hay-like warmth that makes the space feel lived in and real. Beneath it all, heliotrope and benzoin create a soft, resinous blanket that catches the light. Sandalwood provides a smooth, pale wood backdrop while musk lingers in the corners of the room.
