Ynepsie composed Sea Storm with Bertrand Duchaufour at the helm, and the result smells like standing on a warm boardwalk while the tide pulls back over wet pebbles. The opening hits with a bright, fizzy spray of sea water and aldehydes, lifted by a sharp bergamot that keeps the salt from feeling heavy. It reads clean and energetic, more open sky than enclosed room.
Thyme and sand move through the middle, giving the marine accord a dry, herbal edge that prevents it from leaning into soap. Sandalwood adds a smooth, pale wood tone that rounds the sharper spices, while the base settles into a damp, earthy patchouli paired with ambergris and musk. The overall impression stays aromatic and salty, never sweet, with a texture that feels natural rather than polished for a department store shelf.
