The first spray feels crowded. Bergamot and lemon peel rush forward with petitgrain right behind them, but the entrance is sharp and a little thin, as if the citrus forgot to wait for the rest of the room to arrive. Litchi and pear try to soften the edge, yet the watermelon and red fruits arrive all at once, creating a heart that tastes more like a chilled fruit cup than a composed bouquet. Peony floats somewhere above the bowl, light and unconvinced. The roses sit lower, damask and bulgarian tangled with their own leaves, while amber and vanilla wait beneath them with sandalwood and a thread of incense that has not yet decided how dark it wants to be.
