Zane
Fragrance notes
Character
Zane opens with sage and pink pepper, a crisp and slightly biting start that feels clean rather than sweet. The herbs move into the heart alongside black pepper and thyme, where jasmine adds a soft white floral lift without turning the blend powdery or heavy. It stays aromatic and fresh spicy throughout the early wear, with the herbal thread holding steady as the spices warm up. The base brings leather, musk and sandalwood, and the leather here is smooth and dry, not rugged or animalic. Sandalwood rounds out the wood accord while musk keeps the finish close and personal rather than expansive. The overall impression is masculine, woody and herbal, with a clear spicy backbone that never overwhelms the greenery.
The composition stays linear once the leather settles in, so the early contrast between sage and pepper fades into a single steady tone. There is little development after the first hour, and the jasmine that brightens the heart becomes hard to pick out as the wood and musk take over. The ozonic accord promised in the reference is faint and does not change the dry, grounded character. What begins as a lively herbal spice ends as a plain leather wood that lacks a second movement.
