Pour Femme Intense
Fragrance notes
Character
White florals get written off too quickly as ordinary and safe, and Dolce&Gabbana Pour Femme Intense makes the case against that reputation from the first minutes. Neroli and green mandarin open it briskly, but the citrus barely gets a foothold before orange blossom and tuberose take the composition somewhere heavier and more animalic than expected. Tuberose here leans creamy and a touch skin-warm rather than sharp or waxy, closer to the flower crushed in the hand than to a bottled version of it.
Marshmallow and sandalwood form the base, and the marshmallow reads as soft, powdery sweetness more than anything overtly food-like, anchored by a warm wood underneath for balance. Staying power lands in the average range, and sillage stays modest, close enough that whoever is next to the wearer catches it clearly, though it doesn't travel much further than that.
Fall and winter nights suit it best, when a heavier white floral feels welcome, not overwhelming. It rewards someone drawn to tuberose with some weight to it, and it will overwhelm anyone who prefers their florals clean and quiet, better suited to candlelight than to a bright afternoon.
