On the dry down, it settles into a gentlemanly leather accord sprayed with faint cocoa dust and a whisper of smoke. But there is an honest split between idea and execution. Longevity hovers at just over three hours, and sillage barely reaches arm’s length, a frustrating tease for a composition this cozy. It feels synthetic in the best possible way, a well designed mainstream approximation of niche richness without the price tag or the projection. This is strictly a cold weather companion: the 100 percent winter vote and the 82 percent night preference tell you everything. Wear it to a dimly lit dinner or a wool coat commute. Who should buy it? The person who wants a wearable, polite introduction to smoky leather and oud without scarring bystanders. Who should skip?
