Homme 2020
Fragrance notes
Character
Homme 2020 doesn't try to impress in the first ten seconds. Bergamot and pink pepper open it cool and slightly sharp, and elemi adds a resinous edge, but there's no big gesture here, no obvious top-note fireworks to announce itself. For anyone who wants a fragrance to make a statement immediately, this can feel underwhelming right out of the gate.
Atlas cedar and cashmere wood take over in the heart, dry and smooth, with patchouli adding a touch of earthiness underneath. Iso e super and haitian vetiver dominate the base, giving it a clean, slightly transparent woody-amber character, while white musk softens the edges into something close to skin. It keeps a steady presence long into the wear, and the sillage keeps a modest orbit around the body, easy to live with, the kind of thing you forget you're wearing.
Its wearability spans nearly every season, which makes sense given how neutral the whole composition is by design, built to fit almost any occasion without calling attention to itself. What it offers instead is consistency, a reliable, no-fuss wood built for repetition rather than a single memorable moment.
