Numero 5
Fragrance notes
Character
Numero 5 opens with a sharp bite of bergamot that meets the heat of pepper and cloves. The spices do not arrive gently. They press forward immediately, creating a bright and prickly start that feels deliberate. This initial rush carries a dry, almost metallic edge before the heart notes begin to shift the weight of the composition toward something heavier.
Labdanum and incense take over the center of the profile with a thick, resinous smoke. The amber accord here feels deep and slightly dirty rather than sweet. There is a balsamic quality that clings to the skin, supported by a powdery texture that softens the sharper spices from the opening. It creates a moody atmosphere that feels enclosed and intimate.
Sandalwood and leather form a sturdy foundation that anchors the smoke. The wood is creamy but the leather brings a rugged, animalic touch that keeps the blend from feeling too polished. It smells like a dimly lit room with old wooden panels and worn furniture. The citrus is long gone, replaced by a warm, balsamic blanket that feels substantial.
Cristian Calabro built this for the person stepping out into cold air wearing a heavy coat. It fits the pace of a slow evening where the night is still young and the streetlights are just flickering on.
