Bergamot and blackberry open Premiere on a bright, slightly tart note, quickly folded into white flowers and orange blossom that soften the fruit into something more floral than tart. Musk runs underneath from early on, giving the florals a clean, faintly musky quality throughout, even once the fruit up top has faded. By the base, sandalwood and patchouli add a little weight, though this stays a fundamentally light, polished fragrance throughout, animalic musk aside.
This is where the fragrance shows its one real weakness: staying power is only average, present for a while and then fading faster than you might expect from something this polished. Sillage matches that light-footed character, drifting as a soft cloud that fades from notice almost as quickly as it arrives.
Fall is its strongest season, with spring and winter holding up reasonably and summer fading into a much lighter version of itself. Premiere works best as a quick, elegant layer for anyone who wants floral polish without heaviness, a scent for mornings more than for making a statement, refreshed easily since it never overstays its welcome.
