Souvenir d'Orchidée opens with jasmine sambac and angelica. The jasmine carries a fresh, slightly indolic white floral tone, while the angelica adds a green, slightly bitter edge that keeps the start from feeling heavy. It is a bright entry that moves forward quickly.
The heart settles into iris and moss. The iris brings a soft, powdery texture that defines much of the fragrance, supported by the moss, which adds an earthy, slightly damp quality. This central phase feels grounded and aromatic, with the powdery accord sitting comfortably alongside the mossy and violet tones that follow.
The base of amber and musk takes the most space here. The amber is warm and resinous without becoming sweet, and the musk smooths the entire composition into a musky, amber finish. The marine accord runs through the later stages as well, giving the drydown a clean, slightly crisp backdrop that complements the powdery iris and earthy moss.
