Our take

Rosa Rossa Harvest opens with a sharp, almost candied squirt of black currant and litchi, the fruitiness so glossy it feels like a lip gloss you can smell. The rose arrives in two folds: a jammy Turkish petal and a cooler, greener Bulgarian note, all suspended in a watery rose that keeps the whole thing from tipping into syrupy territory. It is fresh, tropical in that lychee-tinged way, and unmistakably floral, but the sweetness stays polite, never cloying. The overall character reminds me of a single pink rose floating in a crystal bowl of chilled fruit salad, beautiful to look at but insubstantial if you reach for it. That is the catch. With longevity barely breaking two and a half hours and sillage that evaporates before you leave the room, this feels less like a perfume and more like a fleeting mood. It is a sheer, natural-feeling pleasure for warm spring mornings or early summer afternoons, worn close to the skin for your own enjoyment. It suits someone who values a bright, clean rose over a dark, smoky one and who does not mind reapplying. Skip it if you want a statement or any performance at all, because this is a whisper, not a shout. Delphine Jelk made a lovely watercolor, but watercolors fade before the canvas dries. Is that a crime in 2023, or just a seasonal indulgence?
