Our take

Sophia Grojsman packed an unusually long list of top notes into Bvlgari Pour Femme, violet and carnation sitting alongside raspberry, peach, coriander, orange blossom, Sichuan pepper and bergamot, and somehow the opening comes together as one soft, spiced haze, not a checklist. Sichuan pepper is the surprise in that group, giving the fruit a faint tingling warmth most nineties florals never bothered with. Sillage stays modest, a small, well-mannered halo rather than anything loud.

Iris and Bulgarian rose take the lead in the heart, backed by heliotrope's almond-like sweetness and orris root's cool, powdery depth. Egyptian jasmine adds weight without pushing the composition toward anything heady or overripe, and the whole middle stage settles into a rounded, classic floral built for elegance over impact.

Green tea appears in the base alongside sandalwood, amber, benzoin, styrax and cedar, an odd but effective inclusion that keeps the woody-amber drydown from turning too warm or resinous. Musk and vanilla soften the edges further, and the result is a base that stays gentle and refined, sticking to skin for a comfortable while without demanding much of the room around it. This is old-school craftsmanship, built for someone who wants a floral that feels considered, worked out over many notes, not assembled from a handful.
