Our take

Ginger and blood orange open warm and a little sharp, spicier than a typical citrus opening, with the ginger's heat building steadily as the citrus settles down and the fragrance moves toward its heart. Tuberose and jasmine take over next, thick and creamy white florals, tuberose taking over with something rich and slightly indolic while pimento leaf keeps a peppery green edge underneath. This is the loudest part of the fragrance by a wide margin, and it lingers there for a while before the base has any real say.

Sandalwood, patchouli and vetiver settle in for the base eventually, grounding all that white floral richness in something drier and earthier. Patchouli brings a bitter, soil-like quality, vetiver adds a grassy sharpness, and sandalwood smooths the two into a woody finish that reads warm rather than sweet, closing out the composition on a much quieter note than it opened on. It is long-lasting once it opens up fully, and it keeps a compact bubble that holds its shape close to the wearer.

Fall and winter nights are where this belongs, since the tuberose and warm spice need cool, dark air to really land. It is a bold choice for daytime and an obvious one for evening, built for someone who wants a white floral with teeth, not something polite.
