Amarante
Fragrance notes
Character
Amarante opens with a bright citrus blend of grapefruit and yuzu, softened by the tart edge of black currant. The fruit is crisp and immediate, giving the first moments a clean, energetic lift that feels awake and modern. It does not lean into sharpness or bitterness, keeping the introduction smooth and easy to wear.
The heart introduces pear and magnolia alongside Bulgarian rose. The pear adds a gentle sweetness that carries the florals forward without becoming heavy. Magnolia brings a creamy petal texture, while the rose offers a classic floral depth. Together they create a rounded middle that stays light on the skin and avoids any powdery dryness.
Base notes of musk, cedar and sandalwood provide a warm, woody foundation. The musk keeps the drydown soft and close, while the cedar adds a dry, polished wood facet. Sandalwood rounds the finish with a smooth creaminess that lingers after the fruit and flowers have faded from the foreground.
The accord list includes fresh spicy, aquatic and green facets, but these elements stay faint and never fully develop. The spicy note in particular feels muted, leaving the composition leaning heavily on its citrus and floral core. This makes the fragrance feel a bit one-dimensional once the initial brightness settles.
