Raspberry gives Anniversary a bright, tart opening, with Granny Smith apple adding a crisp snap and pink pepper lending a fine, lively prickle. The effect feels like a bowl of chilled fruit on a polished wooden table, vivid but carefully arranged. As the freshness settles, heliotrope brings a soft almond-like powderiness, while jasmine and African Orange Flower add a creamy white-floral presence. Their blend is sweet, smooth, and distinctly feminine without becoming syrupy.
Vanilla becomes more prominent as the fragrance develops, joined by patchouli and Virginia Cedar. The base has a warm, gently woody shape, with patchouli giving the sweetness some earthy depth and cedar supplying a clean, dry edge. Anniversary is long-lasting, and its vanilla-woody foundation helps the scent stay composed on the skin. The sillage forms a modest bubble, close enough for intimate settings while still giving the floral heart a clear presence around the wearer.
Launched by Roberto Cavalli in 2010 and composed by Olivier Polge, Anniversary has an easy polish that works well for a dressed-up office, lunch, or a dinner where a soft floral trail feels appropriate. Autumn brings out its richest side, while winter suits the vanilla and cedar especially well. Spring and summer can also accommodate it when the fruity opening is the main attraction.
