for Men Intense
Fragrance notes
Character
Black pepper opens for Men Intense sharp and dry, joined quickly by bay leaf and bergamot for a spiced, slightly bitter top that gives way fast to a busy heart of rum, woody notes, cinnamon, clary sage and African geranium. The rum note reads more like dark spice than sweetness, and cinnamon keeps that impression going straight into the base. Clary sage adds a faint herbal dryness to the heart, giving the spice profile a savory backbone instead of a dessert-like sweetness.
Incense, leather, benzoin, cedar and patchouli close things out smoky and resinous, giving the whole composition a worn-leather-jacket character, not a polished, boardroom one. The composition wears long and heavy, in no hurry to fade, and what projects stays kept fairly close, warm and spicy without turning into a wall of scent. The leather and incense combination is the strongest part of the drydown, dark and a little smoky without leaning into anything overtly sweet.
This suits cold, dark evenings and settings where a spicy, smoky fragrance feels appropriate, not aggressive, and it wears best on someone who wants their cologne to feel like an actual piece of clothing, not just a finishing touch.
